| Flight Strips has stopped working | |
Tony Koskinen ![]() 3rd Oct 2013 22:21:32 | hi all,
Just re-installed my operating system and all the FSX stuff. Now my problem: When I open Flight Strips and go online as a controller, after a few minutes a window pops up saying "flight strips has stopped working". Everything worked without problems before. Running Windows 7 x64. Any help would be appreciated. |

David Bartlam ![]() 13th Oct 2013 09:08:17 | Tony,
Apologies but I've not seen this error before but it's obvious that something is conflicting with it.. Wish I could be of more help |
Tony Koskinen ![]() 8th Nov 2013 14:11:36 | I just reinstalled everything again, first thing I installed was FSX +acceleration, FSUIPC, FScommander 9, then pilot assistant then Flight strips. Still getting the exact same error. this is really weird... does the software require some sort of updated c++ re-distributable package or libraries or something? I've literally tried everything, and I haven't been able to control on an FsOpen server since ages.. really does suck. strange thing is that it worked flawless in September. Also pilot assistant is working fine without any problems. And I can't see anything that could possibly be conflicting with it. Looking in the Task Manager , the only processes that are running are essential windows things, various drivers (logitech, Razer mouse, etc.) , anti-virus, FSX and Flight Strips. Any suggestions? |
Robert Cohen ![]() 10th Nov 2013 13:10:58 | hello what operating system you using now Windows 8 ??
did you try "Run this program in compatibility mode" windows 7 just a thought |
Tony Koskinen ![]() 16th Nov 2013 21:18:55 | I was on Windows 7, and yeah, I tried literally everything, from running as admin to running it into compatibilty mode, to tweaking the program itself and I also tried to get the logs of the crash report, it said something about .net frameworks, not enough space in some sort of Table and of some sort of Time event.
so now I gave up and formated my Hard drive again (3rd time) but this time I downloaded windows 7 (the basic version) trial version from the microsoft website, then clicked the Microsoft upgrade thingy, put my product key in and then installed all the FSX stuff. .... and now it all works as it used to :) So, Thread closed I guess :P |
