Scott Gray ![]() 29th May 2013 19:08:30 | Any possibility to get some expanded access to data? What about the ability to just get a pilot online count that could be used on our website to quickly indicate this data. Other things, like pilot name, aircraft type, etc., would be nice but just the count would be a great start.
Thanks! |

Scott Gray ![]() 30th May 2013 01:47:31 | I visited your site, however, it appeared that you only had the ATC/pilot listing and online graphic. I was looking for access to the specific detail to customize the information on our site. |
Joe Clifford ![]() 30th May 2013 09:12:57 | Hi,
David, Scott is talking about Web Scripts, PHP or library's that allow him to pull data directly from FSOpen rather than using for example, the flight plan window. This would for example mean that Scott could have a flight plan table on his site that doesn't include the 'GameSpy ID' and has a blue background unlike the fixed table format that is currently provided. Scott, FSOpen has not released an API and made it quite clear that due to the speed things are changing (I imagine they mean code structure or methods of storage) there is no plan for an API any time soon. Atleast, that was what Dave said in previous posts. Thing may have changed. So to answer your question the easy way, no FSOpen does not provide an API. However, that doesn't mean it's impossible ;-) Regards Joe www.FSXMultiplay.com - WebServices Team |
