Nishan Bava 9th Dec 2012 19:31:35 | Please can anyone help. I have registered in fsopen, downloaded pilot assistant, teamspeak2 and now dont know what to do.... |
Joe Clifford ![]() 9th Dec 2012 20:44:14 | Hello Nishan,
FSOpen doesnt actually run its own server but rather it creates software for other communities run that helps them manage their session. http://www.fsopen.co.uk/info/sessions/ - Here You Can Find A List Of sessions that are running the server software and via Direct Connect, join what ever one you want. You will notice a column that says 'Voice Type'. Some will say "FSX" this means that all communications are done within FSX Multiplayer. Some will say Teamspeak 3, 2, Ventrillo or even I think, mumble (Not Sure On That One). If it does then that is what that server uses to communicate and it will be worth trying to find their website to find out what there TeamSpeak ect details are. Perhaps Dave, that could be a feature to add. Allow the servers to insert their Teamspeak/Ventrillo Address straight into the server software, like the FSPilot one used to do and then allow them to join the VOIP Program via a button on the Sessions Table next to the relevant session. Teamspeak 3 has an 'invite buddy' option where you can create a string to allow users to join. If they are concerned about Password protection, the group could create a temporary password each month and then re upload to the server software as and when it changed. Just an idea that may be useful, not sure what anyone else thinks Regards Joe |
