| FSopen on dedicated machine won't start | |
Gerard Marshall ![]() 5th Mar 2012 16:39:47 | When I launched fsopen server on my dedicated pc and then launched fsx on my gaming pc my fsopen server would not start as in the fsx status it says "not running". I have port forwarded all of the ports to make FSX work on multi player and I have also started and FSopen server just on my gaming pc but that was not dedicated.
So is there anyway i could do this? Thanks |

Dave Wave ![]() 6th Mar 2012 14:35:44 | You should run fsx on your dedicated server as a host with fsopen server.
Use your gaming pc with another fsx running to connect to the server. |

Joe Clifford ![]() 10th Mar 2012 09:17:03 | Hello Gerard,
Yes. On your dedicated server machine you need to have FSX installed so that you can host a session through game spy. You will also need to have the FSOpen server software on the machine. What it does it is acts as you, posting messages every so often, kicking aircraft you don't want ect. If you plan on flying on your session then you will need another Computer also running FSX that you can connect to the server by FSOpen Server a software is not standalone and does require 2 machines both running FSX as described above Hope that helps Joe |
