| Welcome message not recording | |
Alex Hawkins 7th Nov 2011 00:09:29 | Hello, we are having trouble recording the welcome message in our FSOpen server. It records for a moment (.5-1 second), then cuts out. Any help would be appreciated. |
Dave Wave ![]() 7th Nov 2011 10:38:52 | Make sure that you are transmitting on the same frequency that the server is listening on.
If that doesn't fix it let me know next time your server is up and I'll come in and try it. |
Matt Hoy ![]() 8th Apr 2012 12:10:47 | Hi Dave, Just a quick question. Im trying to set the welcome recording on our server "Cross Country Nav" Anyhow, the recording records just fine and plays back, however when a player joins the recording is scratchy and really hard to understand. Could there be something Im not setting correctly somewhere?

Dave Wave ![]() 8th Apr 2012 16:06:26 | Nope, It needs a fast quad core to run smoothly. If you have a slower pc suggest you transmit a continuous message from a looped wav file on 118.75 instead.

Matt Hoy ![]() 9th Apr 2012 01:56:34 | OK Cheers Dave, yeah I agree with what you're saying, the machine its all running on is a Dual Core 2.66Ghz Intel CPU with 1GB RAM So I too think I need an upgrade! so will see what the back pocket looks like in 6 months. Mate Could you suggest MINIMUM Requirements to set up our server? at least that way Id know what I was up for to build it. Funny you mention 118.75 Ive tried that also and noticed that when I do that the session lags to the MAX! but yet without it and only your software it runs really well.
If you could suggest a minimum requirement would be great Thanks Matt - Admin Cross Country Nav Australia |

Check your interweb upload speeds. If you only have 1 meg then consider using a teamspeak server for voice. Use a 3rd party do your network traffic is reserved for fsx. |
